I
decided to take some "condensed" trips to save time and money.
In the fall of 2001, I decided to visit Seaside, Oregon on the coast
and spent the night there. The next day, I drove down to Cannon Beach before
heading westward into the Willamette Valley visiting several communities
along the way.
In the spring of 2002, I covered western Washington in three days and
two nights visiting such places as Poulsbo, Anacortes, Friday Harbor, Port
Townsend, Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks, Ocean Shores, Hoquiam, Aberdeen,
Raymond, Long Beach and Ilwaco. The trip involved two roundtrip ferry
rides as well as a ride down the northern Oregon coast.
Also, in the spring of 2003, I took a day trip into central and western
Washington, stopping in Ellensburg, Roslyn (where they filmed the exterior
scenes for the television series "Northern Exposure"), and Auburn.
